What a coin pays
When a coin launches on OTC, the launcher's "Hooks" field offers three choices. This page repeats only what OTC has published. Last checked 2026-10-15.
- Reward: Pays a stock, split across holders. Source: https://otcdesks.cash/launcher
- King of the Hill: The biggest buy in each 15-minute round wins. OTC hasn't published the prize, its source, or the tie rules. Source: https://otcdesks.cash/launcher
- Index: Pays holders the biggest coins on OTC; the list rewrites itself (up to 10, one each round). To be included, a coin needs $100K+ market cap, $1K+ liquidity, and to be launched on OTC (@otcdotcash, 2026-10-13). OTC hasn't published how the top 10 are picked. On a coin page, the hook chip shows which hook the coin has when the console can tell, and "Hook: unknown" when it cannot. The console does not guess.
This is not the same thing as a token transfer hook. A transfer hook is a rule in the token that runs on every transfer. The safety check reads that separately. The coin page labels it "Hooks & token rules."
